Are you accepting new clients?

Yes, I am currently accepting new telehealth clients. If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute video consultation so we can connect and determine whether my approach feels aligned with your needs.

What can I expect from a video consultation?

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and it’s important that you find a therapist who feels like the right fit for you. This free 15-minute video consultation is an opportunity for us to briefly connect, discuss what brings you to therapy, and explore how I may be able to support you.

During our consultation, you can expect:

  • A welcoming, nonjudgmental space
  • An opportunity to ask questions about my approach, therapy process, and areas of specialization
  • A brief conversation about your current concerns, goals, and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy
  • Information about scheduling, fees, and next steps if we decide to work together

This consultation is not a full therapy session, but rather a collaborative conversation to help us determine whether we feel like a good fit to work together. My goal is for you to feel heard, supported, and informed as we explore whether my approach aligns with your needs and the kind of therapeutic relationship you’re seeking

What is telehealth therapy?

Telehealth therapy, also known as online therapy is a convenient way to meet for therapy in the privacy and comfort of wherever you feel most comfortable through a HIPAA compliant, secure platform.

Clients have a much larger pool of providers to choose from with telehealth sessions and care is no longer limited to providers in your geographic region. Telehealth is a convenient option for clients who can use their lunch break for a session, or from the comfort of their own home without the hassle of fighting traffic or parking. At this time, all sessions I provide are telehealth.

I am licensed in Arizona, California and Texas. Therefore, clients must be physically located in one of these 3 states when telehealth sessions take place in adherence to licensing board rules.

You don't accept my insurance.  Why should I see an out-of-network provider?

By including out-of-network providers in a search for a therapist, you will have more choices to find a therapist that is the best match for you.

I’ve never had an out-of-network provider before. How do I know how much I will be responsible for?

The best way to be certain of your insurance benefits is to call your insurance company. Here are some suggested questions to ask when calling your insurance company to verify how much you will be reimbursed:

  • Does my plan include out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health?
  • Is there a deductible I need to meet before you will reimburse me?
  • How much of the fee will be reimbursed?
  • If your plan covers a percentage of the “allowed fee”, ask how much the allowed fee is. (The insurance company will cover a percentage of the allowed fee, not based on my fee rate).
  • How do I submit claims for reimbursement?

How do I get the most out of the time spent in therapy?

I am glad you are dedicated to getting the most out of your sessions. Your active participation and commitment to therapy will be important to making the changes you want. Taking what is learned in sessions and using it in daily life is essential to create long lasting change.

What type of clients do you work with?

I work with individuals who may appear strong, capable, and high-functioning on the outside, while internally feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are navigating the impacts of trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, or the emotional weight of constantly caring for others before themselves.

I especially support clients who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and want more than just symptom management. They want to feel grounded, emotionally connected, authentic, and aligned in their daily lives and relationships.

What is culturally responsive, trauma informed care?

Culturally responsive, trauma-informed care recognizes that our life experiences, relationships, identities, culture, and environments all shape how we experience the world, stress, and healing. This approach to therapy creates a space where your experiences are not viewed in isolation, but with an understanding of the emotional, cultural, relational, and systemic factors that may impact your wellbeing.

Being trauma-informed means therapy is grounded in safety, collaboration, compassion, and respect for your nervous system and lived experiences. Rather than asking “What is wrong with you?” the focus becomes “What has happened to you, and how have you learned to survive?”

Being culturally responsive means honoring and integrating the many parts of your identity, background, values, and lived experiences into the therapeutic process. It recognizes that healing is not one-size-fits-all, and that your culture, relationships, and environment matter in how you experience yourself and the world around you.

My goal is to create a therapeutic space where I support you to reconnect with yourself in a way that feels authentic, grounded, and meaningful to you.
