About Me

I completed advanced training in neuroscience-informed trauma therapy through the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), developed by Bruce Perry and the ChildTrauma Academy. This specialized training focuses on how childhood trauma, developmental trauma, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), chronic stress, and attachment wounds affect brain development, nervous system regulation, emotional health, and behavioral functioning. The Neurosequential Model is widely used in trauma treatment, PTSD treatment, complex trauma recovery, and attachment-focused therapy, emphasizing the importance of safety, regulation, and healthy relationships in the healing process.

In addition, I completed a one-year clinical residency at Phoenix Interfaith Counseling with intensive training in comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This advanced training included mindfulness-based interventions, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, yoga-informed practices, and evidence-based approaches for anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, and relationship challenges.

These combined trainings strengthened my ability to help clients understand the connection between the brain, body, and nervous system while developing practical skills for healing and growth. My work is grounded in trauma-informed therapy and integrates neuroscience, attachment theory, DBT, CBT, and nervous system regulation strategies to support individuals experiencing anxiety, PTSD, complex PTSD, childhood trauma, attachment trauma, chronic stress, emotional dysregulation, and relationship difficulties.

This integrative approach continues to guide my work as a trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapist especially in supporting client's unique experiences, helping them build emotional resilience, improve relationships, regulate stress responses, and move toward lasting healing and change.
